Withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement is bad for the environment, bad for the economy, and it puts our children's future at risk.

For our part, we've committed that every new data center we build will be powered by 100% renewable energy.

Stopping climate change is something we can only do as a global community, and we have to act together before it's too late.

Please tell Trump, we've only one planet―Earth. He doesn't have any option to make a better "deal" with some other planet.
And, one more thing for Agent Orange, Climate change isn't a hoax!

Trump's Paris accord announcement was very informative! Worth listening to and understanding.

One has to first stop characterising Trump or anyone else (even those opposing his views) in broad slanderous, over-blown exaggerations as if they are certainties - like 'destroying the planet' or 'saving the planet' by choosing a view. Actually listen to what the person is saying, proposing or acting and put forth one's own reasoning. Tone down the hostility or personal smears. In a democracy of sorts some group will carry the day and everyone has to respect that. This original post does not seem intended to help the real climate or the political climate - just grandstanding. The legitimate issues put forth by Trump are not addressed but dismissed. This is the reason why his opponents lost the election.

I tried to follow the money trail (where the money goes since the tax payers of the USA handed over 500 million bucks last year. The trail leads to links that don't work anymore There is no oversight on this money - 100 billion bucks with quite a bit of it coming from the USA with no accountability. It appears to be some world slush fund
I am glad it's going to be renegotiated or replaced. It was a bad deal all the way around

So my millineal son calls me a conservstive-liberal and this is just one of the reasons he does.....The WSJ Editorial titled “Paris Climate Discord” explains why President Trump should withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement. A list of the reasons to withdrawal from the Paris Agreement are listed below:
1.) President Obama signed the Paris Climate Agreement in September 2016 using Executive Order and bypassing the normal Congressional Treaty Approval Process – Unconstitutional Action.
2.) The U.S. has reduced CO2 faster than Europe due to low cost Natural Gas Fracking coupled to the reduction of Coal usage.
3.) Germany has been the world’s leader in Renewable Energy to generate electricity with 30% Renewable Energy installed. The cost effect on German Industry and Consumers is Average German Electric Rates are three times what the U.S. Electricity Rates are and CO2 Emissions are increasing in Germany as Coal Consumption is increasing due to unreliable Renewable Energy Production. Coal Electrical Generation is needed for Backup Power Grid Electrical Demand.
4.) Coal Generating Plants will continue to be commissioned in China and India to meet increasing Electrical Demand and the Paris Climate Agreement does not call for limits on Coal Consumption for India and China until 2030.
5.) The U.S. Paris Climate Agreement calls for drastic 26% to 28% CO2 Reduction by 2025, which is insane relative to increasing Coal Consumption throughout the world to at least 2030. The Radical Obama Administration Clean Power Plan would only meet 45% of 2025 Paris Climate Agreement U.S. Goals and would require very radical additional U.S. Regulations trashing the U.S. Economy.
6.) The Sierra Club and other Leftist Environmental Groups would bring Lawsuits under the International Air Pollution provisions under the Clean Air Act to enforce the Voluntary Goals of the Paris Climate Agreement – a giant future risk to the U.S. Economy.
7.) The biggest “Con” of the Paris Climate Agreement is if all the provisions were met by all participating countries by the year 2100 (very doubtful), the effect on Global Warming would be only .17 C and an insignificant effect on planet earth.
President Trump has only two realistic choices, withdraw completely or send the Paris Climate Agreement to Congress for ratification which will not happen in the next eight years. A Congressional Ratification attempt of the Paris Climate Agreement will bring many Democrats into the real world when they begin to understand how damaging it will be to their constituents Standard of Living.

Then it seems to me, (since I listened to Trump today) he is willing to renegotiate and get back in. It would be a good time for you to put your money where your mouth is and be someone to work with the President. As a shareholder I feel your silence with him is deafening. Working together is what we all want.

Let's Break This Status Down

"Withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement is bad for the environment, bad for the economy, and it puts our children's future at risk."

1. The Agreement itself was bad. Giving foreign leaders the power to tell us, the people, how to live, and pay china 100 BILLION, yes BILLION, to china 2030 after its too late, to change its emission ways.

2. As a American Citizen, I prefer not to have my tax money sent to country that doesn't pay a dime to the agreement.

"For our part, we've committed that every new data center we build will be powered by 100% renewable energy."

1. Do you know how much precious metal and gases are used and emitted into the air as they are made? So you only destroy the environment.

2. Nothing is always 100% renewable, something has to be put in, and something has to put out, good or bad.

"Stopping climate change is something we can only do as a global community, and we have to act together before it's too late."

1. We the people of earth, DO NOT need a piece of paper to say lets save the earth. We already have programs, community programs, that help the environment.

2. Nothing is never too late.

---------------------

As a final statement, You may have created this platform, create connections, and gave to the people, but you forget one thing, You do not really care about us, we are your product that you SELL for personal gains. So If I were you, just stop crying like a child, and be a Man.

Trump's argument is simple. Why should the US give up both arms and legs for a tiny change in global warming when China can cause a much higher change by just giving up it's ponytail? I think the exit will make many other countries and even companies step up their drive for cleaner energy. Sometimes, tough love is much more effective than pampering and charming words.

We should take more steps against climate change. This is the essential task for us. Because, we love our world, we wanna survive in this world safely. We are committed to keep our environment green and clean. If we wanna ensure our existency, we should be more careful. There are no alternative to face natural crisis without public awareness and stop the using CO2 gas.

Mark, I guess you could largely do more to hamper your president's actions. As a VIP known all around the world who can rely on a dedicated social and personal network, you have especially the power to change things to render this world better. At my level, I can see a lot of initiatives that go in the right way but it will be not sufficient if governments do not take the right decisions.

Pittsburgh Over Paris

What has happened today,
I hardly have words.
What has happened today,
shows he's insanely disturbed.

The future of our country,
our planet, our kids,
is far less important
than his cronies profits.

And what is this shit
about Pittsburgh over Paris?
Shaking my head,
I'm so freaking embarrassed.

As the ice shelves keep cracking
and the temperatures rise,
the freak show continues
spewing his lies.

That man makes me sick
from my head to my toes.
I can't wait for the day
when he finally goes.

This is a deal with no teeth that is bad for our country. If it was such a great deal then it should have gone to congress for ratification but Obama knew it wouldn't pass. Under this deal, the US would best the economic brunt of paying for China and India to continue to increase their carbon emissions blueprint until 2030 while the US which already has reduced carbon emissions to level lows has to continue to lower emissions at the cost of significant loss of American jobs....I might add that the science of climate change is just not there....scientists falsified data to get us into this stupid deal so why should we not pull out. Let China and India take their first steps and then maybe we will come back to the table....until then👎

America should not have to bear the burden, China, India and other countries need to do their part too and until they all agree to do something we need to step back and focus on our country to continue to keep our air clean. New technology is constantly being invented, like dominoes, one invention, invents another. Trump is correct in this discussion.

I'm all for saving the earth and slowing down climate change but not when it causes us to spend billions of dollars and follow certain rules when the other countries in the agreement are not held to the same standards. We have done more for climate change than any other country and we don't need to be in an "agreement" with anyone to do that. Trump also stated that he would re-enter the agreement if it became a more fairly conceived idea for ALL countries involved or renegotiate a new agreement. Stop using tunnel vision and focusing on only one point to try and prove your case....The majority of the American people can see the whole picture....Hopefully at some point the rest of you will catch up...
