COUNCILMAN RODRIGUEZ COMMENTS ON RECENT HIT AND RUN IN MARBLE HILL

Over the past few years our city has seen a rash of hit and run accidents resulting in too many lives lost. My prayers are with the families of all of the victims, especially the family of Daniel Cabrera who was hit last night in my district. When a driver flees the scene of an accident without reporting the incident or aiding the individual they’ve hit, they not only breaking the law but disregarding the well-being of others and their moral responsibility to aid them. In our city we cannot tolerate these callous actions. I look forward to working closely with the NYPD and the 50th Precinct to ensure that Daniel Cabrera’s killer is brought to justice.
