There has been an increase in affordable housing units in Stamford, but the discussion is in no way over. . I have been homeless, and even though I am fortunate enough to have a home right now, the dread never really goes away, and the fear of history repeating itself is difficult to bear. Providing low-income people with housing is just part of the solution. Keeping people in their homes is the major battle. If elected as Stamford Constable, I will not serve eviction notices on vulnerable members of our community. Housing is a human right, not an investment opportunity.
