In loving memory of my dear friend Abed Rahman Abu Eida, who died yesterday in Gaza. A beautiful gentle boy who was shot in the spine in 2008 by a sniper when he was 15 yrs old while getting water from a water tank on the roof of his home. The injury left Abed paraplegic. He suffered terribly yet he always managed to smile. He was incredibly brave. His greatest joy were his family - his parents, brothers and sisters. In his email address he called himself "broken sparrow". The world needs to hear Abed's story. Rest in peace dear Abed. Our condolences to his family.
