Think twice about buying from street children: consider instead supporting specialist NGOs that help children live a normal life.
Nonprofit Organization
Every night in Cambodia, we see children being exploited as street beggars and traders. Chances are that little they earn goes back to them.

To end this practice we ask people to simply think twice about the situation, and inform them about other ways they can help street children break the cycle.

In 2012, the 'Think Twice' campaign comes from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh in coordination with the commemoration of International Volunteer Day. Our target audiences are tourists and businesses in the main tourist areas of the city.

International Volunteer Day (IVD) is a global celebration of volunteer-involving organizations and individual volunteers. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly through Resolution 40/212 on 17 December 1985. Since then, governments, the UN system and civil society organizations have successfully joined volunteers around the world to celebrate the Day on 5 December.

By merging UN support with a grassroots mandate, IVD is a unique opportunity for volunteer-involving organizations to work with government agencies, non-profit organizations, community groups and the private sector. It is also an opportunity to unite, network and mobilize volunteers in our community for meaningful change.
