About Turks and Caicos Kidney Foundation
We are dedicated to the Awareness, Prevention and Treatment of Kidney Disease for all Turks and Caicos Islanders at risk. The Kidney Foundation was founded years ago by Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Selver after they saw the toll that kidney disease could have on a patient and their family.
Today, the Kidney Foundation continues to seek to help bring Awareness to persons at risk of kidney disease through education about our kidneys. We also seek to help educate persons on how to maintain healthy kidneys and stave off kidney disease, despite risk factors, through maintaining proper kidney health.
One of the most important aspects of our Foundation’s mission is to provide assistance and support to the approximately 35 persons on dialysis in the Turks and Caicos Islands. We do this by providing financial assistance to dialysis patients when travelling, providing care packages and hosting functions where patients and their families can socialize and find support from persons in the same position as themselves.
