بيان الوزير مايكل بومبيو حول تصاعد العنف في #إدلب:
تدين الولايات المتحدة من جديد الاعتداءات المستمرّة وغير المبرّرة على أهالي محافظة إدلب من قبل نظام الأسد وروسيا وإيران وحزب الله. إن الهجوم بقذائف الهاون في 3 شباط/ فبراير على مواقع المراقبة التركية من قبل قوات نظام الأسد يشكّل تصعيدًا خطيرًا ويأتي في أعقاب الهجمات الوحشية المستمرّة التي تؤثر على المدنيين والعاملين في المجال الإنساني والبنية التحتية. إننا نقف إلى جانب حليفنا في حلف شمال الأطلسي (الناتو)، تركيا، في أعقاب الهجوم، الذي أدّى إلى مقتل عدد من الأتراك العاملين في مركز مراقبة يستخدم للتنسيق ووقف التصعيد، وندعم بشكل كامل أعمال تركيا المبرّرة للدفاع عن النفس رداً على ذلك. ونبعث إلى حكومة تركيا بأحرّ تعازينا على وفاتهم. إن الأعمال الوحشية التي قام بها نظام الأسد وروسيا والنظام الإيراني وحزب الله تقف مباشرة في وجه قرار وقف إطلاق النار في شمال سوريا. لا بدّ لهذه الهجمات البربرية أن تتوقّف، ويجب السماح بوصول المساعدات الإنسانية واستعادة السلام بما يتماشى مع قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2254. ستبذل الولايات المتحدة قصارى جهدها لمنع أي إعادة دمج لنظام الأسد في المجتمع الدولي حتى يمتثل لجميع الأحكام من قرار مجلس الأمن رقم 2254، بما في ذلك وقف لإطلاق النار على مستوى البلاد بما في ذلك إدلب.

Statement by Secretary Pompeo on Escalation of Violence in #Idlib

The United States once again condemns the continued, unjustifiable, and ruthless assaults on the people of Idlib by the Assad regime, Russia, Iran, and Hizballah. The February 3 mortar attack on Turkish observation posts by the Assad regime forces is a grave escalation and follows ongoing vicious attacks impacting civilians, humanitarian workers, and infrastructure. We stand by our NATO Ally Turkey in the aftermath of the attack, which resulted in the death of multiple Turkish personnel serving at an observation post used for coordination and de-escalation, and fully support Turkey’s justified self-defense actions in response. We send our condolences to the Government of Turkey on their deaths. Brutal actions by the Assad regime, Russia, the Iranian regime, and Hizballah are directly preventing the establishment of a ceasefire in northern Syria. These barbaric attacks must cease, humanitarian access must be granted, and peace must be restored in line with UNSCR 2254. The United States will do all in its powers to block any reintegration of the Assad regime into the international community until it complies with all provisions of UNSCR 2254, including a nationwide ceasefire that incorporates Idlib.
