We can finally confirm that...
At Tayto Park we have applied to Meath County Council for Planning Permission for a 32,000 sq m, 250 bedroom family hotel offering accommodation and leisure facilities for up to 1,000 guests!!
The hotel which is 7 stories, built from wood, is designed to be in keeping with the look and feel of Tayto Park and will be in a parkland setting. The hotel will include a spa, meeting rooms and a function room that can accommodate up to 1,200 people as well as two sky bars and three restaurants. It is estimated that it will provide 150 jobs during construction and 272 full and part time jobs when completed.

That is fantastic news . I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you will have a "disabled friendly family room " as part of your plan . A proper room That severely disabled people can access . If you need help with details , I'd be very happy to advise . You would be a leader with this project and it would make a massive difference to many children and adults with extra special needs but more importantly to their siblings . Happy memories can be made for families when accessibility is not an issue .

No doubt that it will also price people out of using it. You have a fantastic park, you really do but your prices stop me returning time and time again. People are still recovering from a recession, some still without work. You will be incredibly successful if you can remember that when pricing your new wonderland

Tayto park can you ensure you have enough bedrooms for larger families or rooms with kids sleeping dens etc. It is really annoying to find out if you have 3 or more kids you have to fork out for a second room in a lot of hotels.

Hope its going to be reasonably priced! Its expensive day out as it is, and when u have to travel a distance it makes it a long day so it wouldb lovely to have the choice to stay up at a reasonable price for a family to have a great experience.
