London-Aylesbury update:

For those eagerly awaiting the release of this latest new route for TS 2018, a few bits of info for you and a new selection of screenshots for you to take a look at.

1. Our aim is to release the route week commencing 28th May.

2. There will be a standalone route and a version for those who already own Chiltern Main Line. That version will be priced lower than the standalone route.

3. The S8 will not be included in the route but will be released in the coming months we hope. The Ai S8 is shown on the current sets of screenshots.

4. All the details about the route including length of route, number of stations, which stations are included, points of interest etc can now be found on the product page on our website. Link below

5. Additional stock (not supplied) is required to enable all the scenarios to be operated. Please see the Scenario details in the Detailed Description on the product page for full details.

6. You can sign up for email notification upon release via the product page if you wish

Tried to bring you everything you've been asking about over the past month or so here and on the product page so we hope that helps. We're looking forward to the release as much as you all are (we hope).

Just a quick update. London-Aylesbury won't be out this week after all. Apologies for the inconvenience. Work continues and it's very close to being ready but it's not going to be tomorrow. Looking good for early next week as it stands. Thanks all for your patience.

Further London-Aylesbury update - Unfortunately there are still some issues that need addressing with the route before we can release it. This does mean it will be delayed a while longer, we still hope to release it this month but for various reasons we're unable to get everything addressed over the next few days. We'll bring you more news regarding the date of release when we're confidence of meeting the date. Sorry once again for the delay and thanks to you all for your patience.

I have the chiltern mainline as it is now however dont really want to buy the London - Aylesbury section as an extension. will it work if I buy it as a separate route and have the chiltern mainline installed? cheers

Yes,the stand alone version of London-Aylesbury is a separate route.

Out of interest, I assume from what you've said about how you release things that only Finchley Road to Amersham on the LUL side will be useable when the S8 is released and that those lovely screenshots of Aldgate are for a later possible release?

Looks good 🙂 the AI S8 suits purpose - to be an AI train. It's a good stop gap while the full on S8 is made. Quite a few other models that are designed for the player to drive, don't have interior views, although you can see the interior from the outside, you can't sit in the train... So what? It's a train driving simulator, not a flippin passenger simulator... 🙄

I'm sorry but again, I've seen better freeware MSTS models from 2007 than how that AI S8 looks like. No modelled interior makes it look like a complete joke in mid 2018 for payware products.

Daniel James Mckenzie Thanks for the comments, you're entitled to your opinion. Strongly dispute the claims about MSTS models from 2007 looking better but there you go, that's your opinion. You might be aware a separate S8 is in development from us and should be released within the next couple of months. Now if we delay this route to allow the S8 to be included as explained earlier the price will increase and we'll get complaints about that, so we've chosen this as the way to release these products. There's a lot of clamour and anticipation for the route, we believe the vast majority would like this now and will be happy to have the S8 at a later date, you're clearly not in that camp but we're not able to please everyone all of the time. As said earlier for those that do choose to buy the route in whatever guise we truly hope you enjoy it. Thanks.

Chill out everyone. All entitled to their own opinion. For the record, if a loco was supplied with the route the cost would go North and there would be more complaints. At times we can't win, just try and do our best and hope it pleases the majority of users. Our routes don't come with locos just like our locos don't come with routes, they are separate projects, simple as that really. For those that do choose to buy the route in whatever guise we truly hope you enjoy it. Thanks.
