I am deeply sorry that my actions are negatively impacting the perception of Oculus and its partners. The recent news stories about me do not accurately represent my views.

Here’s more background: I contributed $10,000 to Nimble America because I thought the organization had fresh ideas on how to communicate with young voters through the use of several billboards. I am a libertarian who has publicly supported Ron Paul and Gary Johnson in the past, and I plan on voting for Gary in this election as well.

I am committed to the principles of fair play and equal treatment. I did not write the "NimbleRichMan" posts, nor did I delete the account. Reports that I am a founder or employee of Nimble America are false. I don’t have any plans to donate beyond what I have already given to Nimble America.

Still, my actions were my own and do not represent Oculus. I’m sorry for the impact my actions are having on the community.

Here's an inconvenient truth, maybe for him (Palmer) and probably for you (all of you, including angry internet people)
VR is very, very powerful tool for minorities. You can let others experience what they normally won't believe. There's already some good examples on Gear and Rift.
if you don't believe me, check some Within's finest work. "Clouds over Sidra" is one of their early works and still one of the most emotional experience for me. (not full VR tho. 360 pano vid)

You should care more about this, than "that VR boy's wrong political choice" news. if you're journalist who wrote about that "scandal" instead of this potential, You're just fake ass, clickbait asshole who really don't care about true justice.

Experience the best in Virtual Reality storytelling directly on your computer, smart phone, or VR headset.

Those developers better bring back oculus support
or else they're serves will never stay up.
I will do everything I can to make those developers regret dropping support.

I'm not particularly fond of Trump, nor republican politicians for that matter (I support data-driven decisions, not political platitudes - democrats seem slightly better in that regard).

But damn, we have the 1st amendment for a reason! Yes it only applies to government, but we should as a citizenry also apply it to our fellow citizens. Yeah, I don't like your choice... but you have the right to say it. And I'll defend your right to say it!

You have a first amendment right to free speech and so does everyone who criticizes you. You are a liar. Either here or in your emails. As shown here: http://motherboard.vice.com/read/palmer-luckey-is-lying-to-somebody

Palmer Luckey Is Lying to Somebody

Luckey said he’s sorry that his affiliation with a pro-Trump campaign negatively impacted Oculus, but the reporters who exposed his donation say he’s not telling the whole truth.

"...deeply sorry.." Yeah? That don't cut it in our house.

Smite on you Palmer Freeman Luckey.

No matter who you are, or who you're voting for, manipulation of the public in relation to elections for the sake of making money or having a giddy good time is all together a crap ass way to be an American. Pfft.

WhatsApp founder Jan Koum recently unloaded a butt load of Facebook stock. Maybe cause he realized how smarmy they are at the top.

BTW - this isn't about a series of cool products, it's much more about sociology and manipulation of the public. Products may still be cool, but the practice of a commercial outlet or person intentionally misleading (intending to incite) the public to make money during an election season is scum baggery. Yeah, yeah, others do it. But, this comment is about Oculus, the punk Palmer, and Facebook being culpable, in particular.

I don't understand why people are getting upset that you got involved in the political process. I might prefer you helping Gary Johnson, rather than Trump... but, hey, any involvement is a civic virtue, isn't it?

You should not have to explain yourself and what you support, believe and inspired by or contribute too. This is the United States of America. I agree I hope that Johnson or Stein would win on Election Day because Trump and Clinton are just a show. They are both racist/bigoted individuals..She said super predators comment which she apologized for but that's how she feels when push comes to shove.. And Trump has made it clear with his thoughts.. I personally, have never met Anybody in my lifetime that has not expressed in simple thought, gestures or bold face expression that wasn't a little racist. Not only black and white but any race or nationality or lifestyle or religion. I just don't understand those that call out others when they have certainly been guilty of the same at a moment in time in their lives... I am behind you Palmer... Do as you wish brother!

this guy is part of VR whether you like it or not so maybe get over it because unless you are a mind reader you don't know his exact motivations as he has clearly denied the charges of speaking that particular dialogue quoted in the daily beast article .

this boycott oculus talk is about as foolish as anyone else may do..... being a 24 year old who doesn't make mistakes is rare

Funny how that works. If you were a liberal and voiced your views these same people would be cheering you. This is still a free country and everyone has the right to their own political views. Stay strong Palmer !!!!

Hey man, looking forward to porting exclusively for the Oculus in the days to come. Most of these cry babies know nothing of Maxwell Field Theories, Photonics, or any sort of HARD science whatsoever. They are keyboard warriors, salaried monkeys. Keep Walking.
