It goes without saying that the results of Thursday's election were, for me, pretty gut wrenching. Truth be told I was hoping for a parliament that would be forced to work together.
It's also very clear Brexit is happening. This, in my opinion, is a dangerous road to take and wholly unnecessary.
I have always believed in policies that favour the many not the few and believe the gap between the rich and the masses is one of the great problems of our times. Inequalities abound because it keeps that status quo. Climate change is also not being dealt with because vast sums of cash depend upon our damaging way of life continuing.
However we are where we are. I could spend the next 5 years, and beyond, screaming impotently into the void but that would be beyond wasteful. We now need to come together and all work toward what's best for the UK and the world. We need to devote our energies to keeping the government honest and give them the opportunity to disprove the fears many of us still harbour. The divisions are deep but with goodwill and an acceptance that we are pretty much all in this together healing can occur and hopefully will.
Love to everyone.
