About Shoal Creek Conservancy
Shoal Creek is in the heart of Austin, Texas. In 1839, it was the city’s original western boundary but today it is an artery into its urban core.
In recent years, conditions in and around the watercourse have declined and in 2013 the Shoal Creek Conservancy was formed to help rejuvenate Shoal Creek for the enjoyment of all Austinites – present and future.
Our four areas of focus include:
• Trail: Improving the Shoal Creek Trail
• Water: Improving water quality and mitigating flood risk
• Parks: Enhancing habitat and green spaces
• History: Preserving Shoal Creek’s historical significance
