Über SEDS-USA
Students for the Exploration and Development of Space is a chapter-based organization with chapters in Canada, India, Israel, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Philippines, Spain, United Kingdom, and United States. Each chapter is fairly independent and coordinates activities and projects in its own area.
SEDS SpaceVision conference, held annually by the winning chapter of vying colleges and universities, is the largest entirely student-run space science conference in the Americas.
SEDS was founded in 1980 at MIT, Princeton University, and Yale University by Peter Diamandis, Robert D. Richards, and Todd B. Hawley.
Today, SEDS consists of an international group of undergraduate and graduate college and university students from a diverse range of educational backgrounds who are working to promote space.
