Josh Allen got arrested early Sunday morning (January 7th).

Not the Josh Allen who threw for 359 yards and two touchdowns for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. It was 20-year old Josh Allen who works as a security guard at a north Lakeland bar. A witness even said that he was wearing a shirt that said "SECURITY" on it.

At about 3:21am, PCSO deputies responded to the area of Kathleen Road and Raulerson Road in Lakeland, following a reported traffic crash involving one vehicle--a gray 2016 Kia sedan which was registered to Allen.

When the deputies arrived, they discovered that Allen had fled on foot from the crash.

Allen could be heard walking through the swampy woods; due to Allen's size (he's about 6'7" and 370 pounds), he made a lot of noise as he was trying to get away. Plus, he was using his cell phone to navigate and attempting to phone a friend, and the deputies could see the light from the phone. Basically, deputies were able to track him rather easily.

Allen was located while he was trying to hide. Deputies said he was almost completely submerged in the water with only his stomach and mouth visible.

It was noted that Allen's eyes were dilated, blood shot, and watery. Granted, he just came out of the swamp, so his whole body was watery, but his breath also smelled of alcoholic beverage.

Josh Allen was arrested for hit & run, DUI, and resisting.

Two breath samples were obtained by Allen at the Polk Pokey and the results were: 0.128 and 0.127 G/210L (the legal threshold is 0.08).

Clean it up, Josh!! Own this mistake, move on and do better! You’re young, and this can be a time for you to learn and turn things around. Be thankful that nobody got hurt or killed, get into some programming if necessary and be a “better man”!

Thank you PCSO for your hard work!!!
