Minnesota is a place of abundant water. The very name comes from the Dakota word, Mni which means water. Mni Sota, where the water reflects the clouds. There is no water in Minnesota that is disposable, just as there are no people that are disposable. Here on day #27 we are reminding the MPCA of the 14 watersheds and the 227 water bodies that the Line 3 pipeline will disrupt and endanger. These watersheds and water bodies are not disposable for corporate greed. We are all connected by water, we are all made of water and we are determined to protect our water.

Today, the RISE Coalition is out by Prairie River to exercise treaty rights and share in sacred prayer over the water. As Nancy Beaulieu says, there is potential that this will be the week Enbridge starts construction for the Line 3 pipeline. Today and everyday it is important to pray for Nibi, and continue to rest in themes of hope and action like RISE is today!

On this warm Wednesday, Relay For Our Water invites you back to another warm Relay day. Day 52 brought us Minnesota Water Stewards and Spirit to Action who educated participants about the Line 3 pipeline and explained action steps to protect fresh water in Minnesota.

This day was especially memorable with the presence of a large hawk, watching over the water transfer. As you go into the rest of your week, Relay For Our Water encourages you to take inspiration from the hawk and the water- flow in and out responsibilities, and remain vigilant to ways you can plug into prayer and peace.
