Michiganders, like Americans across the country, turned out in record numbers to pick new leaders. The Michigan election board has affirmed its commitment to respect the law and the voters of Michigan. It's past time for leaders in every state to acknowledge Biden as President-elect so our country can move forward.
The right to vote is not theater. By law in every state, the voters in those states determine their slate of electors, not state legislatures. The pressure campaign to deny the certification of election results must be dismissed by Republicans and Democrats alike as antidemocratic and unacceptable.
