Recently, while missing my own father, I decided to make a list of inspiring men who I wanted to learn more about/ pay attention to and would theoretically “adopt as a father”. Elon Musk was on that list, so I… Ещё just wanted to share with you his 100M dollar prize for the best carbon capture technology. A lot of the current technology in practice, such as enhanced oil recovery where they inject CO2 into the earth to recover the remaining oil, raises the question of how much is the extraction of more oil and the energy to utilize/ monetize it cancelling the beneficial effects of carbon capture technology?

Visiting the Carbon Engineering test plant in Squamish, BC today. Very impressed by their carbon sequestration technology, basically taking CO2 out of the air and putting it back into the earth or making it… Ещё into fuel. It gives me hope that we may be able to reverse the climate crisis eventually, but not before we will be living in a world without most of the Arctic ice, with higher sea levels, higher temperatures and much more severe weather. We need more visionaries like the team behind Carbon Engineering and investors willing to bet on companies like this (Bill Gates is one of their initial investors).
