Tennis World Tour
The 1.07 Patch went live for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this morning, there’s graphical updates, new customization options, AI improvements and more. Read on for the full patch notes:
ENGLISH
New features
Weekly community challenges have been added!
•
Each week, a challenge will be displayed in the online menu. The efforts of each and every player will be tallied toward the community objective.
•
2 individual timed objectives will also be available until completion or until they expire.
Individual and community objectives are a new way to unlock items.
Career Mode
Career mode has been updated with new screens and improvements:
•
A month now consists of 2 event choices instead of one.
•
A «Details» button has been added to tournaments, which will display the gains for every round (XP, ranking points, money).The points earned in the previous season for this tournament are also displayed with a marker (since ranking points are tallied throughout a rolling year).
•
A new screen will appear at the end of a season, displaying an overview of the season results and a comparison with the previous year. (You need to play at least two seasons with the patch, or create a new player to see this screen).
Stats
•
Results from past tournaments seasons can be reviewed in the form of Tournament brackets. (Go to the Calendar tab in the Career mode and navigate to the tournament you want to review and press «See results». This includes tournaments you didn’t participate in).
•
Various statistics such as winners, aces, 1st serve ratio etc. are recorded across all modes and can be displayed in the character’s page. (For a custom character, navigate to the portrait, left to the archetype points, and enter the menu).
•
The «Career» tab can be reached to display your track records in tournaments: best round reached and number of titles won for each one.
•
You can switch between records with any character and your global records. For official players, press the «View stats» button to see their page, then press again «View stats» to access your personal records with this player.
•
In Season mode, a new screen will give you the detail of the points earned and lost by you and your opponents, with a detailed information about your respective leagues and win/loss records.

•
AI will stick to its baseline more, if it’s not a preparing a serve & volley.

Tweaked the occurrence of AI faults depending on difficulty.
Skills

The first skill, skill slot and deck slot are unlocked at level 2 instead of level 3.
Bug Fixes
•
Fixed ball trajectory synchronization in the Online modes
•
Maxime Teixeira now correctly unlocks as a playable character when Academy School is 100% complete.
•
Fixed the «Round» displayed in «My performance» in the Tournament result screen when forfeiting before a match. It was off by one round in this case.
•
The «All that glitters» trophy can now be correctly unlocked. (PS4 ONLY)
•
Fixed an issue where when quitting a match at the end of the game, and starting a new match, the animation showing the score of the previous match was still being played.
•
Fixed an issue where Spanish players were displayed as French in the leaderboards.
Misc

Controller vibrations added on strokes (this can be disabled in the Options menu).

Les objectifs individuels et communautaires constituent une nouvelle manière de débloquer des objets.
Mode carrière
Mise à jour du mode carrière qui offre désormais de nouveaux écrans et des améliorations inédites :
•
Dorénavant, un mois est composé de deux choix d'événement au lieu d'un seul.
•
Ajout d'un bouton « Détails » à l'écran des tournois. Ce bouton permet de consulter les gains obtenus à chaque tour (expérience, points de classement, argent). Les points de classement étant totalisés sur une période mobile d'un an, les points gagnés lors d'un tournoi de la saison précédente sont affichés avec une balise.
•
À la fin de la saison, un nouvel écran apparaît où sont affichées une vue d'ensemble des résultats de la saison, ainsi qu'une comparaison avec l'année précédente (pour voir cet écran, vous devez avoir disputé au moins deux saisons après l'installation du correctif ou avoir créé un nouveau joueur).
Statistiques
•
Vous pouvez consulter les résultats des saisons précédentes sous la forme d'un arbre de tournois (accédez au volet Calendrier dans le mode carrière, puis faites défiler jusqu'au tournoi que vous souhaitez consulter et appuyez sur « Voir résultats ». Les résultats incluent également les tournois auxquels vous n'avez pas participé).
•
Diverses statistiques telles que « vainqueurs », « aces », « ratio 1er serveur », etc. sont enregistrées dans tous les modes et peuvent être affichées sur la page du personnage (pour un joueur personnalisé, accédez au portrait, à gauche des points d'archétype, puis affichez le menu).
•
Il est possible d'accéder au volet « Carrière » pour afficher vos records en tournoi : meilleur tour atteint et nombre de titres gagnés pour chacun d'eux.
•
Vous pouvez basculer entre vos records généraux et les records que vous avez réalisés avec n'importe quel personnage. Pour les joueurs officiels, appuyez sur le bouton « Voir stats » afin d'afficher leur page, puis appuyez de nouveau sur « Voir Stats » pour accéder à vos records personnels avec ce joueur.
•
En mode saison, un nouvel écran vous permettra de consulter les détails des points que vous et votre adversaire avez gagnés et perdus, avec des informations précises au sujet de vos ligues respectives et de vos records de victoires/défaites.

IA
•
Les joueurs contrôlés par l'IA restent plus souvent au fond du court, à moins qu'ils ne préparent un service-volée.

Ajustement de la fréquence à laquelle les joueurs contrôlés par l'IA commettent des fautes (en fonction de la difficulté).
Compétences
•
La première aptitude, le premier emplacement d'aptitude et le premier emplacement de deck sont débloqués au niveau 2 au lieu du niveau 3.
Correctifs de bugs
•
Correction de la synchronisation de la trajectoire de la balle dans les modes en ligne.
•
Il est désormais possible de débloquer Maxime Teixeira comme personnage jouable quand l'Académie est terminée à 100 %.
•
Correction du « tour » affiché dans la section « Mes performances » de l'écran de résultats des tournois lors d'un abandon avant un match (dans ce cas précis, il y avait un décalage d'un tour).

Il est désormais possible de débloquer correctement le trophée « Tout ce qui brille »

Correction d'un problème qui se produisait lorsque vous quittiez un match à la fin d'une partie et en démarriez un nouveau : le jeu lançait à nouveau l'animation pour le score du match précédent.

Correction d'un problème à cause duquel les joueurs espagnols étaient affichés comme français aux classements.
Divers
•
Ajout des vibrations de la manette lorsque le joueur réalise des frappes (désactivable dans le menu Options).

Wöchentliche Community-Herausforderungen wurden hinzugefügt!
•
Jede Woche gibt es eine Herausforderung im Online-Menü. Die Anstrengungen jedes einzelnen Spielers werden auf das Gemeinschaftsziel ausgerichtet.
•
Zwei individuelle zeitlich abgestimmte Ziele stehen auch bis zum Abschluss oder bis zum Ablauf zur Verfügung.
Individuelle und gemeinschaftliche Ziele sind eine neue Möglichkeit, Gegenstände freizuschalten.
Karrieremodus
Der Karrieremodus wurde mit neuen Bildschirmen und Verbesserungen aktualisiert:
•
Ein Monat bietet jetzt zwei Event-Auswahlen statt einer.
•
Bei Turnieren wurde eine „Details“-Schaltfläche hinzugefügt, welche die Gewinne für jede Runde anzeigt (EP, Rangpunkte, Geld). Die in der Vorsaison für dieses Turnier erzielten Punkte werden ebenfalls mit einem Marker angezeigt (da die Rangpunkte während eines laufenden Jahres berechnet werden).
•
Am Ende einer Saison erscheint ein neuer Bildschirm mit einer Übersicht über die Saisonergebnisse und einem Vergleich mit dem Vorjahr. (Du musst mindestens zwei Saisons mit dem Patch spielen oder einen neuen Spieler erstellen, um diesen Bildschirm zu sehen).
Statistiken
•
Die Ergebnisse der vergangenen Turniersaisons können in Form von Turniergruppen eingesehen werden. (Gehe im Karrieremodus auf den Reiter Kalender und navigiere zu dem Turnier, das du überprüfen möchtest, und klicke auf „Ergebnisse anzeigen“. Dies gilt auch für Turniere, an denen du nicht teilgenommen hast).
•
Verschiedene Statistiken wie Sieger, Asse, Erster-Aufschlag-Verhältnis usw. werden in allen Modi aufgezeichnet und können auf der Charakterseite angezeigt werden. (Bei einem benutzerdefiniertes Charakter navigierst du zum Porträt links neben den ursprünglichen Punkten und öffnest das Menü).
•
Mittels des Reiters „Karriere“ kannst du deine Erfolgsbilanz in Turnieren anzeigen: Beste erreichte Runde und Anzahl der gewonnenen Titel für jede einzelne.
•
Du kannst zwischen Einträgen mit beliebigem Charakter und deinen globalen Einträgen wechseln. Für offizielle Spieler drückst du auf die Schaltfläche „Spielerwerte anzeigen“, um deren Seite anzuzeigen. Dann drückst du erneut auf „Spielerwerte anzeigen“, um auf deine persönlichen Einträge mit diesem Spieler zuzugreifen.
•
Im Saisonmodus zeigt dir ein neuer Bildschirm die Details der von dir und deinen Gegnern gewonnenen und verlorenen Punkte an, mit detaillierten Informationen über deine jeweiligen Ligen und Sieg/Verlust-Aufzeichnungen.

•
Die Sandplätze wurden grafisch verbessert.
•
Zuschaueranimationen und Choreografie wurden verbessert.
Personalisierung
Neue Outfits wurden für Starspieler hinzugefügt:

KI
•
Die KI wird sich mehr an ihre Grundlinie halten, wenn es sich nicht um die Vorbereitung eines Serve-and-Volley-Spiels handelt.

Das Auftreten von KI-Fehlern wurde je nach Schwierigkeitsgrad korrigiert.
Fähigkeiten
•
Erste Fähigkeit, Fähigkeitsplatz und Deckplatz werden auf Level 2 statt auf Level 3 freigeschaltet.
Fehlerbehebungen
•
Die Synchronisation der Ballflugbahn in den Onlinemodi wurde korrigiert.
•
Maxime Teixeira wird nun als spielbarer Charakter korrekt freigeschaltet, wenn die Akademieschule zu 100 % abgeschlossen ist.
•
Bei der Aufgabe vor einem Match wurde die unter „Meine Performance“ im Bildschirm mit den Turnierergebnissen angezeigte „Runde“ korrigiert. Sie war um eine verschoben.
•
„Alles, was glitzert“ Trophy kann jetzt korrekt freigeschaltet werden.
•
Behebung des Problems, bei dem beim Verlassen eines Matchs am Ende des Spiels und beim Starten eines neuen Matchs die Animation mit dem Ergebnis des vorherigen Matches noch immer angezeigt wurde.
•
Behebung des Problems, bei dem spanische Spieler in den Bestenlisten als französische angezeigt wurden.
Verschiedenes
•
Controller-Vibration bei Schlägen wurde hinzugefügt (kann im Optionsmenü deaktiviert werden).

Ogni settimana, nel menu online verrà visualizzata una sfida. Gli sforzi di ogni singolo giocatore saranno totalizzati in termini di raggiungimento dell'obiettivo della community.

Saranno inoltre disponibili 2 obiettivi individuali a tempo fino al loro completamento o alla scadenza.
Gli obiettivi individuali e della community sono un nuovo modo per sbloccare oggetti.
Modalità Carriera
La modalità Carriera è stata aggiornata con nuove schermate e miglioramenti:
•
Un mese consiste ora di 2 scelte di eventi anziché una.
•
È stato aggiunto un pulsante “Dettagli” ai tornei, che mostrerà gli incrementi a ogni turno (PE, punti della classifica, denaro). Inoltre saranno visualizzati con un marcatore i punti ottenuti nella stagione precedente per tale torneo (poiché i punti della classifica vengono totalizzati nell'arco di un anno consecutivo).
•
Alla fine di una stagione apparirà una nuova schermata, con una panoramica dei risultati della stagione e un confronto rispetto all'anno precedente (è necessario giocare almeno due stagioni con la patch, o creare un nuovo giocatore per visualizzare questa schermata).
Statistiche
•
I risultati delle stagioni dei tornei passati possono essere rivisti sotto forma di schema delle eliminatorie del Torneo (vai alla scheda Calendario nella modalità Carriera, accedi al torneo che vuoi rivedere e premi “Vedi risultati”. Sono inclusi i tornei a cui non hai partecipato).
•
Diverse statistiche come i colpi vincenti, gli ace, la percentuale di punti con la prima di servizio, ecc. sono registrate in tutte le modalità e possono essere visualizzate nella pagina del personaggio (per un personaggio personalizzato, accedi al ritratto, a sinistra dei punti archetipo ed entra nel menu).
•
Puoi accedere alla scheda “Carriera” per visualizzare le tue prestazioni nei tornei: migliore fase raggiunta e numero di titoli vinti per ognuno di essi.
•
Puoi passare dai record ottenuti con qualsiasi personaggio ai tuoi record complessivi. Per i giocatori ufficiali, premi il pulsante “Visualizza statistiche” per vedere la loro pagina, quindi premi di nuovo “Visualizza statistiche” per accedere ai tuoi record personali con quel giocatore.

Nella modalità Stagione, una nuova schermata ti darà una panoramica precisa dei punti guadagnati e persi da te e dai tuoi avversari, con informazioni dettagliate sui vostri rispettivi campionati e record di vittoria/sconfitta.

ESPAÑOL
Nuevas características
¡Hemos añadido retos semanales de la comunidad!
•
Cada semana aparecerá un reto en el menú de juego en línea. Los esfuerzos de cada jugador se sumarán para conseguir el objetivo de la comunidad.
•
También habrá disponibles 2 objetivos individuales cronometrados hasta que se completen caduquen.
Los objetivos individuales y de comunidad son una nueva forma de desbloquear objetos.
Modo Carrera
Hemos actualizado el modo Carrera con nuevas pantallas y mejoras:
•
Ahora un mes incluye 2 selecciones de evento en lugar de una.
•
Hemos añadido a los torneos el botón «Detalles», que muestra las ganancias por cada ronda (experiencia, puntos de ranking, dinero). Los puntos conseguidos en la temporada anterior de este torneo también se muestran con un indicador (ya que los puntos de ranking se suman durante todo el año).
•
Al final de la temporada aparecerá una nueva pantalla con un resumen de los resultados de la temporada y una comparación con el año anterior. (Para ver esta pantalla, tienes que jugar al menos dos temporadas con el parche, o crear un nuevo jugador).
Estadísticas
•
Los resultados de temporadas anteriores de los torneos pueden consultarse en forma de cuadros de torneo. (Ve a la pestaña Calendario en el modo Carrera, busca el torneo que quieras consultar y pulsa «Ver resultados». Esto incluye los torneos en los que no has participado).
•
Diversas estadísticas, como golpes ganadores, saques ganadores, primer saque, etc., se recogen en todos los modos y pueden mostrarse en la página del personaje. (Para un personaje personalizado, busca su retrato, a la izquierda los puntos de arquetipo, y entra en el menú).
•
Puedes abrir la pestaña «Carrera» para mostrar tus registros en los torneos: mejor ronda alcanzada y número de títulos que has ganado en cada uno.
•
Puedes alternar entre tus registros con cualquier personaje y tus registros globales. Para los jugadores oficiales, pulsa el botón «Ver estadísticas» para ver su página, y luego vuelve a pulsar «Ver estadísticas» para acceder a tus registros personales con este jugador.
•
En el modo Temporada, una nueva pantalla te dará los detalles de los puntos ganados y perdidos por ti y tus rivales, con información detallada sobre tus respectivos registros de ligas y victorias/derrotas.

Habilidades

i tell you for myself i enjoy the game a lot now that you can play online it's exciting again.
i think most people playing the game like it but do only comment here as a feeback to improve the game while everyone not enjoying the game is complaining here because they obviously would have wanted to invest their money differently now that they know that they don't like it lol..
long story short, james.. personally i want more players to participate in the TWT experience with me to make it a great fun for everyone involved. The only thing i can tell you and i have been telling many times before.. ; AO tennis way more casual while TWT askes for more practice patience and good attitude as you are only getting better by losing^^

i tell you for myself i enjoy the game a lot now that you can play online it's exciting again.
i think most people playing the game like it but do only comment here as a feeback to improve the game while everyone not enjoying the game is complaining here because they obviously would have wanted to invest their money differently now that they know that they don't like it lol..
long story short, james.. personally i want more players to participate in the TWT experience with me to make it a great fun for everyone involved. The only thing i can tell you and i have been telling many times before.. ; AO tennis way more casual while TWT askes for more practice patience and good attitude as you are only getting better by losing^^
lol what ever what i am trying to say is: I think the game is now worth buying! Today, while starting the game it interrupted me for a patch(first time after week one in may).
it finally all look very promsing to me with that TWT project come jump in!

These should honestly be misses. There are still a lot of instances where the wrong hit type occurs. I'll do a top spin and get a slice or a slice and get a flat shot.

I just picked it up on the last sale on PS4. After all the comments I was expecting much worse and the game isn't great but isn't bad either. For feedback:
-Shot selection is usually okay but sometimes the game really does what it wants for a full point. I tried playing slice on a 27 shot rally and of my 13 shots played as a slice only 2 were slices and this can be quite annoying.
-It is difficult to get your player to follow up fast to the net after a good attack shot
-Points don't really have a momentum, some shots labelled "defensive" and should be survival shots end up being insane counters so it doesn't really feel like you build up your point and that at any point and from any situation you or the IA can just come back in the point like nothing had happend. There is also no real "weak defensive return" in which the next shot should be an easy point killer.
-It also feels like it is hard to really screw up during the exchanges. I remember in topspin if you loosed a bit your focus or so the game would not be too forgiving, here it feels like even with a terrible timing your shot wont look too bad and will not penalize you much or even at all.
-I also don't feel much difference between building up the power and the "quick tap" shots (their feel and usefulness were much clearer in Top Spin than here and I imagine you are trying to do something similar).
-On some of the surfaces when you are playing against the sun reflection the ball becomes really hard to see sometimes, maybe making the ball darker or so could help?
-It would be nice to include a coin toss for the serve or side selection at the beggining of the match
Here you go. Personally I will only be sporadicaly playing this game until it hopefully improves to the point where I wont want to put it down anymore. Not that I dislike the game but I want to play it when it will feel more complete than it is now.

Most people aren't interested in new official outfits and things like that. People want better and more realistic gameplay. Without a solid gameplay all others aspects and features are useless.
There are several gameplay problems that needs addressing ASAP, like the shot selection system (players actually playing the shot you selected), AI players actually trying to reach all serves and not just ignoring the ball completely on some of them, players like Isner and Raonic actually serving hard when used by the AI, official players (when used by the AI) actually using with the same type of tactics as they do in real life (McEnroe playing serve and volley for instance), more shots into the net, sliding animations on clay, proper net play animations, AI not playing volleys when standing on the baseline (!!!), a general overhaul of the risk/reward system when hitting shots, deeper player customizing that for instance makes it possible to create personal player faces and playing styles and also enable sharing of said created players via the online community.

The slice animations are still appearing as two handed backhands. There should be an animation for the slices as one-handed shots even for two handers.
The ball still floats when retrieving outside of the court.
It is difficult to hit approach shots. I should be able to transition from no man's land to the net.

Estimados: creo que las mejoras deben concentrarse en el juego y no en las funcionalidades anexas. Me explico: no puede ser que la trayectoria de la pelota siga siendo irregular (con saltos) en los rallies, por ejemplo. O que siga quedando la sensación de que el tenista se 'rinda' al intentar alcanzar un tiro angulado de su rival. El concepto que deben privilegiar es la fluidez del juego. Luego de eso, apuntar a las diferencias en la velocidad de la bola según superificies. Y respecto de esto, en animaciones que apunten a generar el efecto arcilla. Es decir, animaciones que denoten movimiento y marcas en el polvo de ladrillo. Todo lo demás no sirve (o se transforma en anecdótico) si no son capaces de recrear un buen partido de tenis. Tómense como ejemplo algunos de ustedes mismos, los que generaron Top Spin 4. Y en definitiva, hagan un ejercicio mínimo después de cada actualización: enciendan la consola y evalúen si lo que consiguieron es una versión realista de un partido de tenis. Quizás ahí entiendan que las quejas (y los aportes) de los usuarios no son para nada antojadizas.

Ok. So I purposefully waited to provide my feedback so that I could play with the game long enough to see how the changes/improvements affected the game. I have some thoughts both good and bad. I'll break the problems down by stuff that is an issue within the matches themselves and then outside of the matches.
In-Game Playing Issues
1. The AI opponents stay on or behind the baseline most of the time! This immediately made the game much better in my opinion
2. There is still an issue with movement laterally. There is a moment where my player pauses when moving left or right to get to the next ball. This may not seem like a big deal, but that can be the difference between getting to that next ball and losing the point, or being on the defensive. It's an extremely frustrating issue.
3. Speaking of frustrating; There is a big problem with the game not using the shot you have selected. If I wanted to hit a slice, I would have selected that shot. Same goes for a regular shot or top spin shot. Nothing takes you out of the game more than knowing that the type of shot you want to hit for strategic reasons is ignored by the game in favor of another one like a slice which may ultimately cause you to lose the point by letting the opponent into the rally again, rather than hitting that down-the-line backhand you originally were trying to accomplish.
Other Issues
1. Player Creator - I know that this is on your list but I'm still going to bring this up. Here is the deal. AO International Tennis threw down the gauntlet. Their player creator is outstanding. While that game has it's own issues, the player creation system is amazing. Only the limited amount of hairstyle options keeps that from being nearly perfect.
I don't know how long it would take to create something similar but in all honesty, this is what you need to aim for and I'm not kidding. We want the ability to create players we can't play in the game. Along with that, creating a wide variety of ground stroke syles, serve styles, etc. to choose from is essential.
It would also be great to do something similar to what AO International Tennis does with their online community. I love creating players and uploading them for other people to download and use.
2. A graphics overhaul. I don't know how likely this is but I have to be honest, the models for in-game players look . . . . . ok at best and pretty bad at worst.
When I look at AO International tennis and the players they have licensed, they did an exceptional job in creating their likeness. Your game is not nearly as graphically pushing the envelope.
While this isn't really the biggest issue out of everything, there is no denying that graphically it feels more like something from 7-10 years ago rather than something that utilizes the graphical capabilities of current-gen consoles.

Another major issue I have is with the net game. I rarely go to the net because I often find that when I hit the buttons to volley, nothing happens. This is a major issue that needs to be dealt with quickly.
In general there is a lag issue with this game and I'm not talking about online games. It just feels like I'm always half a second behind.
But what I alluded to in my post above is really a big issue, that being the lag in movement laterally. Unless I'm already standing on that particular side of the court, the lag exists going from one side of the court to the other.

I play this game almost every evening, a couple of matches online on the PS4. It's not too bad. It's like 40% as good as what Top Spin 4 was online, and that's still enjoyable enough. I'm surprised how easy it is to find players, never takes longer than 2 min to find somebody.

Today I bought the game from PS4 store. This is really the worst tennis game EVER. Really bad explanation of the training materials. The shots are not applied correctly. The player is moving only on huge steps. It's not remembering the last service position. The shot stils are not constant, so basically you cannot improve the gameplay or the skills. Shame for @[64760994940:274:Roger Federer] who take part in this game with his name.
