聲明：不要密室談判 還我公開會談 局長正視民意 撤回染紅教育
7月6日（星期五），學民思潮十多名成員到商業電台外等待做畢電台節目的吳克儉，向他清楚交代學民思潮的訴求，要求吳克儉局長與學民思潮進行對話時容許傳媒拍攝，以表示學民思潮堅拒密室政治。局長對此沒有正面回應，但卻主動提議於7月11日（星期三）會面，學民思潮初步表示接受，但下午卻收到局方致電指局長「有事」需要改指7月13日（星期五）會面，學民思潮對吳克儉反口表示失望，我們將會按局長提議原定時間「上教局。尋克儉」。
學民思潮一直要求與吳克儉會面時，必須讓傳媒拍攝整個會面過程，以保障雙方利益。可是吳克儉於 7月10日（星期二） 在立法會公開表示將於7月13日（星期五）邀約專家與學民思潮成員閉門見面，解釋國民教育科內容。局方一直以來只是單方面提出會面細節，而學民思潮則尚未與局方達成任何共識，特別是公開會面過程。學民思潮會繼續要求局方讓傳媒公開拍攝會議過程，並要求局方解釋為何不肯讓傳媒拍攝整個富有學術性和認真的會談過程。
學民思潮一向拒絕密室政治，我們對局長向外界就會面事作出虛假陳述表示失望。學民思潮再次重申，若局方堅持閉門會面，而不讓傳媒進來拍攝整個會面過程的話，學民思潮將不會與局方進行正式會談。
學民思潮今日行動已於晚上8時完結，感激各位朋友參與及聲援，亦感激各界人士向學民思潮致送飲品鼓勵。
學民思潮成員成功於晚上7時半於電話與吳克儉對話，但吳克儉堅持要於本星期五於教育局與專家進行閉門會議，並不會讓傳媒朋友進來拍攝及採訪會面過程。學民思潮一向反對密室政治，對吳克儉的回覆深表強烈不滿。學民思潮會於星期五與吳克儉會面前，再次要求讓傳媒朋友進來拍攝及採訪會面過程。否則，學民思潮成員將會離場抗議，表示不滿。
學民思潮再次重申，依然歡迎與教育局就德育及國民教育科議題，進行公開公平對話，但學民思潮一向反對密室政治，學民思潮成員只會接受於傳媒朋友進來拍攝及採訪會面過程下進行與教育局的會談。
