ok...First my Lg update Tool says no update then i do as i was told and click the Customer Support button and then the recover phone option, it Does the GB install and give me the option to upgrade to ICS but as soon as i do that it gets a little ways in then the program crashes and then i just keep getting FRUSTRATED with this phone as even if i use it as a music player the phone gets HOT and battery Dis-Charges faster than it recharges

This only works under windows xp 32bit SP3.

I doubt we'll ever see an ICS for the 3D MAX. The CUBE had ICS and LG never even fixed the depth problem on the 3D camera, which kind of makes a big chunk of the phone pointless. You can get a custom ICS for 3D MAX rom but the 3D camera still has the same problem on those.

If anyone out there is still using there P920 and waiting for ICS, it IS available. It's not the fault of LG, they have actually released it. It is actually the fault of your network provider, they need to accept the update for it to be available on your handset. If you're on Three in the UK, like me, you will never get the update over the air or via the update centre. But you can get it, without voiding your warranty or rooting your phone, via a manual official install process. The guy who made this video is really helpful, and will quickly answer any questions you have:

The first time I saw this youtube video, I was very sceptical. But I kept coming back to it, and looked into it further. After getting to the brink of giving up with my P920, I decided to give it a go. I am now the very proud owner of a revitalised p920 on 4.0.4. As it is the official update from LG, you don't need to root your phone or do anything dodgy. Follow the video, step-by-step and it will work. The only comments I have that I had to do slightly differently to get it to work are:
1) Run the flash tool as administrator (right click the program and click "run as administrator" or it will not show READY
2) When it shows READY you need to take the battery out and put it in again, then it will begin the install
3) After it finishes, even if it says failed it worked, just manually turn your phone on again and you're phone will start the new 4.0.4!

If you're still unsure if this is a safe method to updating, don't be, I'm a security freak and scanned every file and it's all virus free and easy to install/uninstall. This is the only way you'll be able to update with the official update if your network hasn't provided it already. Go and loce your P920 again. It's a beautiful machine!

After many frustrating months with LG and thei non-existent Cust Svc, i moved on to a Note 2 in Jan 2013. Recently took out my O3D again to see how its been as well factory reset it. Its still a nice phone, but lags like crazy, probably due to the OS.

But finally, after almost more than a year, i can finally upgrade it to ICS. Finally.

I got the official ICS 4.0.4 update of my LG Optimus 3d.. I just download the LG mobile tool together with the drivers and i connect my phone and open the LG Mobile Tool and after it recognizes my device i begin the upgrade and that's it...no need to root your phone... http://www.lg.com/uk/support-mobile/lg-LGP920#software
