Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.55.0 for Android and 1.25.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.

Freezing issue. When trying to see my avatar profile, game freezes.

Being some one who could and did walk with pogo on with my children or alone was fantastic but due to a back problem (I need major surgery) walking is not possible for me anymore. Makes it harder for me to play then most as I generally can only catch what Pokemon are around the house or get my husband to take me to the shops and try there. I am lvl 24 and still don't have a dragonite, have caught a massive 5 Growlith and just finally got my first porygon two days ago. I would love to be able to pogo in the car as husband drives around but understand why the limit was put on. To be franc though it didn't stop the cheaters, you only have to watch twitch or YouTube and see many of them using hacks or cheats to play from home as they stream. I know what allot of you are going to say as your heckles raise up and scream "it's Pokémon GO WALK" but do you people even think that maybe some people are being honest and are disabled and unable to play a game they would enjoy if able to play?

Yes it was developed to get people to get OUT and ABOUT and to get healthy so cycling is also included in this healthy part too right? So long as people are playing the game and being cautious while playing all NIANTIC really had to do was put in a clause saying they were not responsible for any accidents or injuries happening due to playing pogo (I think they actually have this clause I would have to look into it). My suggestion here is to make a device usable by passengers/cyclists/disabled people so that they can enjoy the game as well. People in wheel chairs can't walk and it's not their fault they aren't able to.

I know allot of people that have stopped playing since as late as June/July because they found the game got dull. There has been allot of people making suggestions but no feedback from NIANTIC from them. It would be nice to get more feedback from them. This way people can see communication happening and not repeat the same thing over and over.

Gen 2...... we have ALL been waiting to hear about it. We have seen the pokedex count go up but the only Pokemon you can get from gen 2 is limited to hatching. It's been months since NIANTIC have said they were releasing gen 2 into pogo and then just trickles since. Other sources have given us more of an insight then anywhere else which is rather depressing. I mean it's not a surprise anymore the code breakers made sure of that so a date would be nice as to when you will be releasing the rest of gen 2.

My rant is over. Waiting for the flaming to begin. To those that bother to read thank you for your time reading my post. Enjoy the game and have fun. I have three kids still playing pogo and walk daily around the block just to catch pogo, I just wish I could still walk with them, admittedly I was the first to get a ditto in my family!!!

The game has been crashing before and after the update on my iPhone 6. The program closes, then when I try to open it again, it will crash and close during start up. Every now and then I can get it to work.

Also, there have been times that I click on a Pokemon to catch it, and it just stays on the map, but all options disappear, and every so often the "attack effects" shine through, but I'm not trying to catch anything, and I can't click on anything. So I have to shut it down and start again.

It's taken me ages to finally track down Chansey, still not got a TOGEPI though...a little disheartening after I hatched 73 eggs during the 'increased hatch rate' and failed to find one ( further frustrated me more when my brother hatched 3 lol) but definately needing a little boost in new characters pretty soon I think

Hi, is anyone else having problems with this app? It started a couple days ago for me. Everything seems to be working fine until I click on a Pokemon - any Pokemon- to catch and suddenly the app is shutting down, and I have a message saying "Unfortunately, Pokemon Go has stopped working" and I have the option of either reporting it or just clicking Ok. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I've restarted my phone and sent so many feedback reports I've lost track of them. Has anyone else had this problem?

You advertise that players can hatch their eggs by bicycling. However the current speed cap ruined the opportunity to hatch eggs by bicycling. For example yesterday i bicycled 14 kilometers and the game registered 3 kilometers to my eggs.. Fix the speed cap!

I have tried contacting customer service, but no one is getting back to me. I have been playing since the game opened and I'm going to be losing my work email, which I registered with. I need to transfer or change my email account. Please private message me and give me the customer service that I have been asking for. I have not been able to log into my account since January 24th. Lost all my progress, 900+ coins, daily stardust and everything else and Niantic is telling me they can't figure it out yet they are the ones that sent me an email telling me I needed to change my nickname cause someone decided to turn me in for the one I had. So tell me how they can lock it but they can't tell me how to log back in or how long it will be or even want to do anything for the time lost? I really like this game like millions of other players however I think there should be more battling involved like a walk by battle where you can battle people on the street or someone you meet at restaurant 1 on 1 6 pokemon each or what ever but just a thought hopefully you read this

The last update turned out to be pretty buggy, not just for me but for thousand other players. The main problem is that game freezes once you access your trainers profile. You can't access your trainer profile, your journal, and medals. I used to have another bug, if anyone has it I found a fix. Whenever I tapped on a pokemon to catch it, the game complete froze. Turns out what fixes it is to give the app permision over everything (I only allowed it to know my location, I couldn't find any reason for me to have access on my contacts). Anyway, I reinstalled the app and gave permission over everything it asked, trainer profile is still not accesible but at least I can't catch pokemon.
But I'm sure Niantic knows about this already.

PLEASE READ AND SHARE SUGGESTION!! I would like to see gyms that are preloaded with a single type of pokemon (ie all rock, or water, etc) that we could try to battle through. If you can make it through all of them you'd win a badge for that gym type and maybe something nice as you hit tiers, like eggs or incubators, etc. They'd have to be multiple type gyms per area or a rotating "type". I'm not traveling all over the world to hit a fire gym somewhere, but I think it'd be a fun mini game within the game.

They should just have it so when moving fast whilst you may not be able to play the game, it will still count the distance travelled towards things like eggs and the buddy system. I rely on public transport like buses and trains so its annoying when I can't count those km's towards the 9 eggs which are constantly filling my eggs section and my charmander whom I have been trying to get enough candies to evolve him for the past 2 months.

• Please put visible timers on lures. It would help to know how much time is left.
• We should be able to see how much HP is left on the healing screen. This will help us choose which potion is most effective to use.
• We should have an area under each Pokémon to make notes. That could help us keep track of which Pokémon have sentimental value (like the starter), which ones are better defenders vs. attackers, etc.

I thought the update would resolve the distance issue but it appears it has not, using a android and a IOS whilst walking eggs has clearly demonstrated that you need to walk twice as far with an Android to hatch an egg, and this has now happened more than 30 eggs. can someone look into this please.

After this update, the game runs much more smoothly on my phone w/ 1G RAM. Seems you had already been working on that issue. It still needs improvement but now it's at least playable for me again. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for this update! Because since then I can't access my account anymore. I was not banned, I didn't ask to change my name or remove my account, I have enough space on my phone, I did nothing except updated to 0.55. And I can't access anymore. Wonderful thanks again >_<

How about a version that doesn't crash whenever I try to capture anything? This upgrade introduced a fatal bug, at least for some of us, and the game is now unplayable. I'd hoped today's upgrade, to 0.57.2, would fix it but it did not. Uninstalled and have no plans to reinstall this POC.
