Halle Barry was the perfect woman but the movie was a terrible train wreck. It had nothing to do with Selina Kyle. I remember when I first read Batman: Year One, I said that CW should be played by Halle, but now I see that only works if she is actually playing CW and not some metahuman in ripped up leather.

I have purposefully stayed away, for the most part, from the comments on this note... I have scanned through them and I appreciate the love and support that has been shown and I even appreciate this different views being expressed. I would like for you to know that I'm not overly sensitive, I can take a joke and I don't make fun of really anyone but myself in my daily life. That night what Tracy said was I'm sure meant to be a joke, it just didn't come across that way. I'm not trying to crucify him in anyway. I was not offended, merely sadden by what he said. Kids kill themselves daily for being treated like outcasts, and it doesn't matter if they are gay or straight. I was bullied as a kid because I was considered fat and worthless. According to lots of messages I've received in the past few days... those are not the only things I have going against me. I as a teenager I wanted to die on many occasion due to words. Words have power and that's my point in all of this. I just wanted to be loved for who I am, about 1% of that is me being gay. Right now I don't have health insurance because when I lost my job and decided to try and make a living on my own... no more insurance other than COBRA. I can't afford that right now. If I were married and straight I would have immediately become eligible BY LAW to have health insurance with my spouse. I have a friend right now who lost her job because they found out she was gay, her employer didn't even hide that fact. You can't be fired for for your race, your age, your sex, your national origin... but she can and millions others can be simply because they are gay. There 1138 legal rights afforded to everyone else in the US that are denied to me. I'm not looking for special treatment... I standing up for equal treatment! I am soooooo ready to move past all of this issue with Tracy and lend my voice to more important issues that what Tracy said that night. I do wish that everyone in their comments would try to be more understanding of where everyone is coming and stop spewing hatred in both directions, that was not my intent and I don't condone it. I am happy that this has opened a discussion and at least has opened some eyes.

I support gay marriage, have many gay friends, and a daughter who is bisexual. That being said, this whole fiasco made me ashamed of being a Nashvillian. It was a comedy show for goodness sake! Comedy is about laughing at life, and homosexuality, alternative lifestyles, whatever you want to label it, is a part of our lives now. I don't understand how anyone could go to a comedy show and expect to agree 100% with the performer or throw a temper tantrum about it. I think this was taken way out of context and made Nashville and our gay community look like whiney cry babies. I have discussed this with many of my gay friends and they were ashamed of it happening as well, so not all gay people were offended. I think Kevin should have done the ADULT thing and contacted Tracy himself to get out his grievances towards his routine instead of taking it to this extreme. I also think Tracy should have a lawsuit against Kevin for creating this 3 ring circus and slandering his name. I mean, fair is fair. Or would it be right if I took it upon myself to get people all over facebook to rise up against Kevin because we do not agree with his opinion on this matter and felt offended that he wanted to take this opportunity to bring this all out as a fight with the media? No, it would not be right. Kevin has his opinion, he was offended, and that is his right. Tracy is a comedian, has his opinion, stated it, and was forced to apologize for it. I do not see this as any victory for the gay community, I see it as something shameful and many other people do. I found this through News Cahnnel 5's post about the apology. It was asking what people think about it and for the most part, people think it is crap that he was asked to apologize in the first place. So, while there are many on this post praising Kevin for what he did....the remainder of Nashvillians are ashamed of it. Word to the wise....if you are that easily offended and tend to make a mountain out of a mole hill....don't go to Comedy shows, you can not handle it...stick with Disney on Ice or something and stop making Nashville look bad!

Even Chris Rock, who initially defended Tracy, thought he went too far after reading the whole story. You know, the white comics used to joke about lynching black folk, too. Last time I'm posting anything here... Tracy was never asked to apologize by me or anyone else. Tracy was not forced into an apology, he made a phone call all by himself to ask GLAAD what he could do to make this right. His son was with him back stage that night and heard what his dad said. Tracy admitted to us that his own son told him that he shouldn't have said what he did. I think, as many others do, that comedy is comedy. Did Chris Rock mention his hate filled rants towards "crackers"? No. But you know what, I am white and do not care. I do not get offended because it is COMEDY. If this were a documentary about how he felt about his gay son and he said that, I would take it much more seriously. Comedy requires a sense of irony and a knowing audience laughing at itself or the human predicament in general. In this case Tracy didn't rise to that level, hence the outrage. Tracy's rant was not "comedy". Perhaps a better comedian could have pulled it off by providing a different context for what was said, but Tracy didn't. It appears Tracy himself now recognizes that.

@Dawn, the problem with your words is that you are doing exactly what Kevin did: attacking someone for what they say publicly, and thereby attacking yourself. By your own logic, you must also be "needing some attention" and unable to "handle it on your own." You asked Kevin why he isn't doing something positive: well, what are you doing?

In a free speech society (and I'm talking about society, not gov't), every person can say what they wish, but they better damn well be prepared to get criticized by the free speech of others for what they say. I always find it confusing that people who go to such things to claim something isn't "offensive" get so easily offended for their own part when others disagree about the original remarks.

Maybe Kevin's note was a tactical mistake, though I severely doubt that. If it hadn't been posted, then Tracy's words would have continued to echo, and I for one am glad that he reversed himself.

How can any person contribute a comment on Morgan's being "funny or not" if he or she wasn't there to hear the words in the context of the entire comedy routine and didn't hear the delivery? Comedy is all about the delivery, timing, and the context in which the words are framed. I'd just like to hear the whole thing, so I could judge for myself if it was a change from his demeanor. Gloria Perry-Jones accurately reports this point in her post above. You can't cherry pick quotes from the bible and then say the bible supports your notion that gay sex is a sin, unless you are willing to apply the "sin" word to other "unclean" activities in Leviticus. Nickolas, first of all you seriously have anger issues, I'd recommend Lexapro and a lot of it!!! How people view the bible and their beliefs are their own personal choice..
