TUESDAY: KEATING’S SAVE ENERGY, SAVE MONEY WORKSHOP FOR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES
Washington, DC – Rep. Bill Keating will be hosting a workshop on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, for local business owners on energy efficiency. The event, entitled “Save Energy, Save Money: Making Your Business Energy Efficient,” is designed to highlight various opportunities available to manage energy costs, as well as best practices to promote environmentally responsible action.
“Our district, which is home to the South Shore, Cape and Islands, is one of the biggest tourist destinations in America,” said Rep. Keating. “Therefore, the vitality of our environment and ecosystem is directly linked to our economy. On a more immediate level, improving a business’ energy efficiency will help save local business owners money. Making the change to be energy efficient is a win-win on both fronts, and I am pleased that my colleague and friend, Senator Dan Wolf, who recently converted his business Cape Air to be energy efficient, will be able to partake in this workshop.”
Senator Dan Wolf will be giving the keynote remarks at the event, and will highlight the benefit of going energy efficient in one’s business. Following the remarks, there will be an overview presentation and panel discussion
with representatives from the US EPA, Constellation Energy, ESE Solutions, MA Clean Energy Center, MA
Dep’t of Energy Resources, MA Small Business Development Center and MA Green Communities Program.
This event is free and open to the public; however, pre-registration is required. To register, please contact Congressman Keating’s Quincy District Office at 617-770-3700.
