This week the President called on Congress to pass a“pathway to citizenship”(aka Amnesty).I strongly oppose,here is my statement
Once again, President Obama has promoted granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants living in our country. The President this week in a speech at American University called on Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform, including the so-called “pathway to citizenship.”
I will do everything I can to block this ill-guided policy that rewards lawbreakers and encourages even more illegal immigration.
Amnesty also punishes those immigrants who abide by our laws and seek to enter the U.S. properly and legally.
Instead of amnesty, we should support vigorous enforcement of existing laws, a fully secure U.S. border and an increase in the number of U.S. Border Patrol agents. And, of course, we need to make English the official language of the United States.
