Wittman Announces First District Debate Schedule
MONTROSS, Va. – U.S. Representative Rob Wittman (VA-1) today announced opportunities for First District residents to attend congressional debates discussing critical issues in the fall 2012 election. Wittman will participate in two debate forums, focusing on opportunities for constituents to attend in both the upper and lower ends of the First District. These debates follow an appearance last week at a NARFE forum where candidates for the First Congressional District discussed issues such as the economy, sequestration, and taxes.
“Debates play an important role in the electoral process, giving folks an opportunity to learn more about candidates and their approach to the issues,” Wittman said. “It is critical for voters to have an opportunity to be better informed on the issues and better acquainted with the candidates asking for their vote. I look forward to these official forums with my opponent regarding the issues facing our community and our nation.”
