Hey, Solgardians. The app icon now has a Snowprint snowflake instead of the King crown, and if you're wondering what that means to you, the answer is...very little, actually.
The official statement reads: Going forward, Snowprint Studios will assume full publishing rights and responsibilities for Legend of Solgard. Since launching in 2018, together we have built a dedicated and loyal fanbase for Legend of Solgard. As before, Snowprint Studios will continue to serve this community, deliver new events & features, and expand the Solgard universe.
Snowprint is taking over as the publisher as well as the developer, which means it'll be Snowprint handling the customer service, localizing, updating, and stuff like that. Q: Will anything about my account change?
A: No. Your game accounts continue to be backed up via the Apple App Store or Google Play. Nothing is changing!
Q: I am owed a refund, will I still get it?
A: If you have an open ticket with King already, King will follow up until the issue is resolved. If you have new issues that you would like to get support on, please tap the help center button in the game or visit https://support.snowprintstudios.com/en/solgard/.
Q: Will there still be customer service? Tech support?
A: Yes! Snowprint is just taking over that element. The button in the game will still take you to a form you need to fill out. It’s just that the form will be read by different people. Using the form will still be the best and most efficient option, but if your problem is that you can’t access the game at all, you can visit https://support.snowprintstudios.com/en/solgard/
Q: What will happen to the Facebook page/group?
A: Nothing. The logos on the cover photos will change, but you won’t notice a difference.
Q: What will happen to the forum?
A: Nothing will be changing for now. We will provide further information when/if there are changes to the forum.
Q: What’s next for the game?
A: We’re launching World 5: Niflheim right now as well as spells and the next Blot Festival, and we’ve got a feature backlog that’s at least two years long. Stay tuned!
Q: Will Ratatosk still be around on social media?
A: There will always be a Ratatosk. The one who has been Ratatosk since launch will be around for at least the immediate future - we’ll keep you posted.
Q: What will happen with the Ambassador program?
A: We definitely want to keep that going! We’re still ironing out the details, and we’ll contact Ambassadors directly with new information.
Q: Why has King ceased Publishing/being involved with Legend of Solgard?
A: King continues to focus on its own live titles in addition to investing in new game development. Snowprint will continue to serve the Solgard community with new content and features.
