Today is our mom's birthday, and we know exactly what she wants (she tells us – and anyone who'll listen – all the time):

For our birthdays growing up, she baked awesome cakes and invited loads of family and friends over. But she never made a big deal about her own birthday. When we asked her what she wanted, she'd just say things like "Justice” and "World Peace” and "Clean Elections” and "An End to Hunger.”
Yes, really. Our mom thinks big.
We've always wanted to be like Mom. So, as our present to her this year, we're thinking big.
We want to make the world better, too.
For Mom's 61st birthday, we want to raise $6,100 for the "Betsy Sweet for Governor” campaign, so she can qualify for public Clean Elections funding. Can we count on you to chip in?
Mom is running as a Clean Elections candidate; she can't take any donations larger than $100. She needs a lot of people giving a little bit each. That way, her campaign is powered not by stacks of money, but by people and relationships – just like Mom.
She's inspired us our entire lives. She's spent her life fighting to leave the world better than she found it. Even better, she's spent her life winning that fight.
With you on her side, we can elect a governor who'll inspire all Mainers.
