Whoever you are that left your dog tied to an outside bench at our shelter this morning - she was discovered 45 min later after being outside in 7 degree weather. Maybe we'll never know the name she has always known, what she has been through, or why you didn't go to another door at our building to talk to someone instead of just leaving her tied up but she gobbled up a warm meal and is wrapped in blankets and getting warm. She'll be safe with us until she finds a new home with someone who will love her forever.
We can't believe Callie is still waiting to find a home! Frankly, she can't believe it either, clearly. This cutie was rescued from a neglectful situation in the south before she was transported to the safety of NEAS. Despite her tough start, Callie is oh-so-sweet. At 2.5 years old she walks well on leash, enjoys a good car ride, and loves going outside to stretch her legs and play. She has even done well playing with other dogs here at the Shelter - although she is selective (but who doesn't like to set the bar high when choosing friends?!). Frozen kongs filled with peanut butter are her favorite, but she's not in the business of refusing any yummy treat! If you're interested in adopting Callie, please email unfurgettable@neas.org and fill out the pre-adoption form on the website.

This is Boots. He's 15 years old, and is best described as a couch potato who enjoys being around his people. He is friendly and social, but this cutie patootie is not a lap cat, and prefers to keep his paws on the ground. In his previous home he found the young dog and other cat to be a bit overwhelming, so he'd prefer to be your one and only pet. He thinks he deserves all the attention in his golden years, and we agree! If you're interested in adopting Boots, please email unfurgettable@neas.org and fill out the pre-adoption form on our website.
