Nauyaca Waterfalls is a totally Costa Rican owned family tourism company, dedicated for several years to tour operations. These are horseback riding tours, traveling through the farm that border with two impressive waterfalls from Río Barucito.

These majestic waterfalls are one of the main attractions of the southern region in Costa Rica, not only for their natural scenic beauty, which offers the tourist moments of recreation and fun, but also to participate in different activities such as horseback ridign tours, swimming, climbing, jumping and to observe much of the beauty of the tropical rainforest, among others.

Nauyaca Waterfalls is the ideal place, not only for those in search of tranquility and nature, but also for adventure and excitement lovers.

Somos una compañía familiar privada, que se dedica a las visitas de las cataratas del Fio barucito desde 1992, en escurciones a caballo, pick up y caminata.

Horseback riding:

The horseback riding tour is over a 12 kilometer route with three resting periods, departing from our office, passing by Don Lulo’s house, where you will have a delicious and typical Costa Rican breakfast.

The horseback riding tour takes approximately from 45 minutes to the Waterfalls.You may swim in the natural pools the waterfalls have formed.

On the way back we stop once again at “Don Lulo’s house” to enjoy a delicious and also typical Costa Rican lunch. After a well-earned rest on the hammocks and a delicious cup of coffee, we begin the return trip to our starting point.

The horseback ride in Costa Rica offered by Nauyaca Waterfalls is one of the best experiences that a tourist can find and enjoy in our country.

El tour a caballo se hace de lunes a sábado con reservacion previa, es de 9am a 2pm aproximadamente, incluye caballo, guía, almuerzo, el derecho de admisión a la catarata y el parqueo con seguridad.

includes, transportation round trip and the entrance to the Waterfalls. you only need to walk 200mts.

Para la opción de transporte y entrada(pick up) deben hacer reservacion, tenemos 6 horarios de ingreso, a las 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am y 12am donde se les lleva en un carro (pick up) por un acceso privado hasta la catarata dicho recorrido tarda al rededor de 30 minutos, al llegar allá solo deben caminar unos 100mts es decir unos 5minutos en escalones para llegar a la Catarata, allí se quedan por 2 horas y al cumplirse dicho tiempo, los recogen de nuevo y los traen de regreso.

At Nauyaca Waterfalls we are committed with the environment’s protection and conservation and in recent years we participated in a ecotouristc conservation project, the reforestation of certain erosioned areas. Today these areas are a habitat for many fauna species, and on occasion tourists have the opportunity of seeing them.

Eco-Tourists will also have direct contact with nature here at Nauyaca Waterfalls, to listen to the sounds of water, the singing of birds; aspects which give our tour an unequalled atmosphere, particularly for nature and adventure lovers.

caminata:

Desde la oficina la catarata dista a 6km, 6km de ida y 6km de regreso, si cuentan con carro 4x4 principalmente para épocas lluviosas podrían ir 2km el vehículo hasta la zona del parqueo de ahí son 4km de caminata, 4km para ir y 4km para regresar; aproximadamente 1 hora en tiempo por vía.

No es necesario pagar con depósito previo solo llegan a la oficina y adquieren su tickete.

Recomendar traer zapatos cómodos para caminar, agua y alimento necesario.

No recomendamos esta caminata para personas con problemas de salud, embarazadas o adultos mayores.
