Rancho Canada del Oro Hike, 2/26/21 by Ronald Horii
It's been a little over a year since I've hiked the Mayfair Ranch/Longwall Canyon Trail loop in Rancho Canada del Oro. The last time was this event: "Groundhog Day Early Blooms Hike, RCDO, 2/2/20":

That was a guided group hike. We can't do those during the pandemic. The preserve never closed, so I can still hike it, just not with a group as a docent. I hiked just the Longwall Canyon Trail up to the Mayfair Ranch Trail last year: "Calero/Rancho Canada del Oro Longwall Canyon Trail Hike, 7/29/20":

It's been such a long time since I've done the whole loop, I thought I should check it out. This is a quick trail survey hike, not a plant hike, wildlife hike, or trail watch hike. I wanted to see what the trail was like in general and what plants and animals are out.
