Sea Level Rise Simulations on Southwest SF Bay by Ronald Horii
NOAA has a sea level rise simulator. You can see the effects on coastal areas of various amounts of sea level rise from 0 to 10 feet. I ran the simulation for several areas along the southwest shoreline of San Francisco Bay. This is the tool: https://coast.noaa.gov/slr/?fbclid=IwAR1r05Z-kfMaed2Uws8rHDcAqasNJynfi6KUmrevqUx6qiqEeJ75YMqUW4Q#
I used it in my recent King Tide tour album of Redwood City: https://tinyurl.com/y9h8fvdr

While it's fairly straightforward to predict the effects of sea level rise if nothing is done about it, the hard question is how much will sea level actually rise? There are no shortage of theories, but nobody knows for sure. It is a very complicated matter, with countless variables and many unknowns. There are various models that make different assumptions and have varying predictions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_level_rise

The really hard question is what to do about sea level rise. Can it be prevented or slowed? How? If not, what can be done to avoid destruction to coastal areas?
