Fire Views From Santa Teresa Park, 8/21/20 by Ronald Horii
It was a smoky day today for most of the day. I didn't want to go outside. Late in the afternoon, the air was clearer. I could barely smell smoke, but I went outside wearing an N95 mask just to be safe. I went to the Pueblo Area of Santa Teresa Park so I could see what the smoke was like in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Diablo Range. First, I went to the small parking lot on Bernal Road. From there, I could see the Sierra Azuls and part of the Diablo Range. Then I went down to the Pueblo Area and hiked the Hidden Springs Trail, where I could get a better view of the Diablo Range. I took these pictures. It was too close to sunset to hike up to Coyote Peak, where I could have gotten the best view.
