Coyote Lake Mummy Mountain Hike with the Bay Area Older Adults by Ronald Horii
On Wednesday, October 28, I helped to lead a hike with the Bay Area Older Adults, whose mission "is to stimulate the hearts, bodies and minds of older adults through easy access to arts and culture, nature and new friends." http://www.bayareaolderadults.org/home
The hike was organized by Anne Ferguson, the organization's founder and executive director. It was the second hike at Coyote Lake. We did one 2 weeks prior, when it was much warmer. For this hike, it had actually rained the night before, and the ground was still wet in places, though not muddy. By the time of the hike, it was mostly sunny. We had cool breezes most of the way, and it never got hot. We hiked up the Mendoza Trail to the Mummy Mountain Trail. At the end of the Mummy Mountain Trail, we took the Campground Trail to the campground and ate lunch. After lunch, we came back on the Coyote Ridge Trail. Here are pictures of the hike.
