Alum Rock Park, with Views of Sierra Vista OSP, 8/29/15 by Ronald Horii
On 8/29/15, I went for a hike in Alum Rock Park in San Jose. My intent was to climb up to the south rim of the park to get views of Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve, which is on the north rim of the park. I started out from the free parking lot at the park entrance, walked up the Penitencia Creek Trail into the heart of the park, climbed up the aptly-named Sycamore Switchbacks, then came back on the South Rim Trail and South Woodlands Trail.
