Los Gatos has a new museum, appropriately called the New Museum Los Gatos, or NUMU. http://www.numulosgatos.org/
It's at the Civic Center next to the new library, housed in the old library building. The top floor is now being used for temporary art exhibits and replaces the old museum that was housed in a firehouse a few blocks away. The bottom floor will be used for permanent historical exhibits from the Forbes Mill Museum. Forbes Mill will be used for special events.
