This towering sculture is at the entrance to San Jose's Bascom Branch Library and Community Center at 1000 S. Bascom Avenue, south of Valley Medical Center.

The bulding opened in 2013. This is from the Mercury News story about the library's opening: "The art component is a two-story bronze sculpture titled Stratigraphy by Ron Baron. It traces the history of Silicon Valley with cultural artifacts ranging from Native American baskets and gold mining pans to modern computers. At the top is a fruit tree, cast from a real one, with figures from trophies dangling from its branches."

This sculpture is incredible. It reminds me of the basement storeroom we had at work, the top part at least. The middle part reminds me of my house.
