The Rotary Playgarden, 7/10/15 by Ronald Horii
There's a new addition to the Guadalupe River Park and Gardens in downtown San Jose. It's the Rotary Playgarden. It's a unique, educational playground that allows kids of all abilities, including those with disabilities, to play together. It is a project of the Rotary Club of San Jose, who celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2014. This is their 100 Year Legacy Project. The design began in 2010. Here's the story: http://www.rotaryplaygarden.org/
It broke ground in April 2014 and dedicated on February 21, 2015 for a public preview. http://www.mercurynews.com/san-jose-neighborhoods/ci_27599407/san-jose-rotary-city-dedicate-all-access-playgarden
It had its grand opening on May 23, 2015. Here are its play features: http://svtoddler.blogspot.com/2015/05/playground-preview-rotary-playgarden.html — at Rotary PlayGarden. (near Rotary PlayGarden)
