"Nature is Nearby" Billboards 2015 by Ronald Horii
The Santa Clara County Parks has a new campaign to get people into the parks by showing them that nature is nearer than they think. These billboards are all over San Jose, some in industrial areas with not a lot of nature nearby. They show that it doesn't take a long trip to get close to nature. Over half of them use pictures that I took. There are 2 signs that are not yet up. My picture of the Knibbs Knob Trail at Uvas Canyon is supposed to be on Blossom Hill Road east of Almaden Expressway. There's also supposed to be one with a picture (not mine) of JD Grant County Park, but I don't know where. The signs were designed by Frederick Fortune and Marci Fernandez of Fortune Squared (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fortune-Squared/210770948937064)
Most of them will be up from 6/29 to 9/14, except as noted.
