John Nicholas Trail Sandstone Formation by Ronald Horii
I went for a hike today, 1/10/15, on the upper part of the John Nicholas Trail in Sanborn County Park today. It was the second time I've been to this part of the trail. The first time was during an REI-sponsored trail work day on 6/1/13. Here are pictures of that work day and what the area looks like now. This is one of the highlights of the new 3.6-mile trail segment that runs from the Sunnyvale Mountain staging area to the Lake Ranch Reservoir.
