Traintown Sonoma 1989 by Ronald Horii
Throwback Thursday pictures: When my kids were little, we visited Traintown in Sonoma. We liked trains. We went to train museums all over the state. This was one of the most fun train-themed places. It's still there, and we pass by it when we visit Sonoma, but our kids are too old for it. It probably has even more stuff now. http://www.traintown.com/ — at Sonoma TrainTown Railroad. (near Sonoma TrainTown Railroad)

I thought it was Frontier Village where I caught my first fish, now known as IBM.

I wish I had pictures of Frontier Village, but it closed before my kids were born, which is when I started taking lots of pictures. However, if you go to the site of Frontier Village, you'll find these remembrances of it in Edenvale Gardens Park: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.351337524889776.79676.100000405933924&type=1&l=498b4a617b

San Jose's Edenvale Gardens Park is a unique place. It is built upon the grounds of a former amusement park,More Frontier Village. It was a western-themed park which closed in 1980. Frontier Village was built on the grounds of the Hayes estate. The historic Hayes Mansion was part of that estate. It has been restored into a conference center and spa resort. I took some HDR pictures of the Hayes Mansion and park several years ago: http://www.rhorii.com/Photo/HDR-Expmts2.html
