FOSTP Work Day at the Bernal Ranch & Santa Teresa Spring, 5/3/24 by Ronald Horii
On 5/3/24, the Friends of Santa Teresa Park had a FOSTP First Friday Workday at the Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch in Santa Teresa County Park. Normally, the work days are on the first Friday of each month, but January's and February's were cancelled due to wet conditions. This was the last work day we had: "FOSTP Work Day at the Bernal Ranch, 4/5/24":
https://tinyurl.com/yz6k7wb7. Today, a group of junior high school students from Herman Intermediate School came to help. Friends of Santa Teresa Park members who came were Mike Boulland, Joan Murphy, Youngmee Kim, and me. There were several volunteers who had come to previous work days. The volunteers cleaned up areas around the Bernal Ranch House, the gardens, the drain above the retaining wall, and Santa Teresa Spring. The pictures below of the cleanup are organized by work site and are not in chronological order. Note the dates on the pictures. Some of the pictures show conditions from a few days ago for comparison. Here are more pictures of Santa Teresa Park, events, and past cleanup days: http://www.stpfriends.org/#newpictures.
