Plants and Views along the Guadalupe River Trail, 4/26/24 by Ronald Horii
I went for a walk on the Guadalupe River Trail, starting from the Almaden Light Rail Station. I walked south to Almaden Lake, then north to Blossom Hill Road. These are the native plants I saw along the way. Nearly all of them were planted for landscaping or habitat restoration. I know that there are lots of the flannel bushes planted along the trail, and that they should be blooming this time of year. When they are in full bloom, they are spectacular. (Note that I took all of these pictures with my Samsung A42 smartphone.) Here are more of my pictures of the creeks, parks, and trails in the Almaden Valley: http://www.rhorii.com/#AlmadenValley.
