Santa Teresa Hills Fire, 6/30/14 by Ronald Horii
Just after lunch on 6/30, I saw that the Santa Teresa Hills were on fire. I took some pictures of the fire and firefighting efforts during the day.

There's hope after fire or other deforestation. Have to take a longer view and not let the soil burn away. Coloma CA (ignition point of the Gold Rush) was denuded of trees by the miners and other settlers. Even fifty years later, not evident; 150 years later, it needs thinning again.
