Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens 1/18/04 by Ronald Horii
This is a memory from 2004. It's when my wife, my daughter, and I took a walk through the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. I lived in Santa Barbara when I went to school at UCSB. My daughter was also a UCSB student. The Botanic Garden was one of my favorite places to go to in SB. It's a beautiful natural area in Mission Canyon along Mission Creek. It showcases native California plants: https://sbbotanicgarden.org/. It's been in the news lately because torrential rains have turned Mission Creek into a raging river, and the Mission Creek Dam into a waterfall: https://www.foxweather.com/watch/play-6ee011a20000b2b. So far, the gardens haven't been damaged. These pictures just show one part of the gardens. It's a more natural area that looks like a park. Here's a map of the gardens: https://sbbotanicgarden.org/visit/plan-your-visit/
