Hellyer County Park BioBlitz, 11/11/23 by Ronald Horii
There was a BioBlitz in Hellyer County Park on Saturday, 11/11/23 (https://www.facebook.com/events/1033362658003780/). The aim of a BioBlitz is to observe and record as many living things as possible within a particular area and time period. The observations are recorded using the iNaturalist app or website. The event was sponsored by Keep Coyote Creek Beautiful: https://www.keepcoyotecreekbeautiful.org/, https://www.facebook.com/CoyoteCreekSJ/, and the Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST): https://www.facebook.com/POSTLandTrust. It was organized by biologist Merav Vonshak, who has been holding BioBlitzes in other parts of the county.
