Post-New Year's Hike, Almaden Quicksilver by Ronald Horii
I spent New Year's in LA, mostly indoors and in the car. Coming back home, I needed to get some outdoor exercise, so I headed to one of my favorite places to go hiking, Almaden Quicksilver County Park. I went on a nearly 5-mile hike on the Mine Hill, New Almaden, Cinnabar, and Senador Mine Trails. It was almost 80 in LA. Today in San Jose, it was probably near 70. It was perfect hiking weather. It was comfortable, no matter how you were dressed, and people were dressed in many different ways. The park was very busy. Here are pictures. — at Almaden Quicksilver County Park. (near Almaden Quicksilver County Park)
