FOSTP Weeding at the Bernal Ranch, Santa Teresa Park, 8/4/23 by Ronald Horii
On 8/4/23, the Friends of Santa Teresa Park had a First Friday Work Day at the Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch in Santa Teresa County Park. FOSTP members there were Mike Boulland, Ron Horii, Joan Murphy, and Youngmee Kim. Also there were 3 volunteers. Land Steward Steve Cassidy also came. Steve has been to cleanup events before. He plants trees in the Pueblo Area of the park and takes care of them, including removing invasive weeds. He recommended we pull yellow star thistles from the start of the Joice Trail before they spread. We dug up the thistles and other weeds by the trailhead.
