Oak Walk at Martial Cottle Park, 6/17/23 by Ronald Horii
On 6/17/23, there was an interpretive event at Martial Cottle Park in San Jose. It was a guided walk called "Sturdy as an Oak." This was the description:
"Explore the majestic heritage oak trees that adorn the Martial Cottle Park landscape with a volunteer docent. A 1-mile level walking tour will explore their role in preserving animal and human survival of the past, present, and future." It was led by 3 docents: William, Robin, and me. We walked around the park, talking about the oaks and other trees, as well as the park's history.
