FOSTP Work Day at Santa Teresa Spring & BGJ Ranch, 6/2/23 by Ronald Horii
On 6/2/23, the Friends of Santa Teresa Park had a First Friday Work Day at the Bernal Ranch in Santa Teresa County Park. FOSTP members there were Mike Boulland, Ron Horii, Joan Murphy, and Youngmee Kim. Also there were volunteers recruited by the County Parks' Volunteer Office, including 2 students. Park Maintenance Worker Jason Bombardier gave directions. Most of the group worked on removing invasive non-native blackberry vines from the area below Santa Teresa Spring. Joan stayed back by the ranch house and scraped weeds off the ground by the park entrance.
