Non-Native Flowers in MCP's Master Gardeners' Parcel, 5/17/23 by Ronald Horii
On Wednesday, 5/17/23, I went to the Master Gardeners' parcel in Martial Cottle Park when it was open. Their 4-acre parcel is open to the public during their regular work hours: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9–noon.
These are pictures of the native plants:

You can visit the gardens and see what they are. Here is information about the Master Gardeners' Demonstration Garden at Martial Cottle Park: mgsantaclara.ucanr.edu/demonstration-gardens/martial-cottle-park/. Here's more information about Martial Cottle Park, which covers 287 acres in South San Jose: https://parks.sccgov.org/santa-clara-county-parks/martial-cottle-park. Be sure to come back in a month or so when the young ornamental flowers are more grown in our raised beds. We get lots of native bees at the beds too!
